Role in the ODPAMEL Operational Group:
Within the framework of the project implementation, Proactive Mon. S.A. will assume the role of Coordinating Organization, being responsible for representing the members of the Operational Group and the overall project management. The company will undertake the entire process of monitoring and implementing actions related to the dissemination of the project's results.

RESEARCH ACCOUNT OF THE GREEK MEDITERRANEAN UNIVERSITY / PAGROTOP Laboratory
The laboratory aims at the production of certified plant propagation material, improvement of horticultural production techniques, enhancement of oenological techniques, and sustainable agriculture for food production. Dr. Alyssandrakis is Associate Professor of Food Safety and Quality at the Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products, Landscape, and Environment, in the Department of Agriculture at the School of Agricultural Sciences Institute of Agrifood and Life Sciences of the Research Center Hellenic Mediterranean University. He holds a PhD from the Laboratory of Apiculture at the Agricultural University of Athens. He investigated the resistance of varroa to acaricides. He has been teaching the Beekeeping course since 2005.

Role in the ODPAMEL Operational Group:
For the needs of the project, the laboratory will undertake actions related to:
Evaluation of bee parasites regarding their significance for beekeeping in Crete
Evaluation of the effectiveness of the methods to be studied
Creation of an integrated bee parasite management plan
Participation in actions to disseminate the project results (informative events, publications, training)

AGRICULTURAL BEEKEEPING COOPERATIVE OF RETHYMNO - "THYMOS"
The Beekeeping Cooperative of Rethymno was founded in 1982 by a group of pioneer beekeepers in the region and is based in Tria Monastiria, Rethymno. The Cooperative has managed to become a reference point for beekeepers, addressing issues such as a) the supply of consumables at low prices and b) the continuous training of beekeepers. A major achievement for the Cooperative has been its leading role in the recognition of Cretan Pine Thyme Honey as a PDO product.

Role in the ODPAMEL Operational Group:
Within the scope of the project, the Agricultural Beekeeping Cooperative of Rethymno - "Thymos" will contribute by providing the necessary number of beehives from its members in order to conduct the pilot application and create an integrated bee parasite management plan. The Cooperative will also participate in the project result dissemination actions.
